Mihi nui ki Ngāti Parewahawaha

Mihi nui ki Ngāti Parewahawaha for their generous and warm welcome to myself and classmates from Te Wananga O Aotearoa over the weekend.

Such a treat to be staying in the Whare tupuna (traditional Māori ancestral meeting house) among precious carvings and tukutuku panels .

I recommend watching “Toxic Whenua” (released July 2026) to learn about Ngāti Parewahawaha’s legal fight against an invisible plume of PFAS ‘forever chemicals’ that continues to move through the groundwater 😔.
