The Taiwan-Japan-New Zealand Seismic Hazard Assessment Meeting is an annual event aimed at sharing research and finding collaboration opportunities between these three tectonically similar countries. I am grateful for the opportunity to present on Urban Earthquake Early Warning for Aotearoa New Zealand. Indeed Taiwan and Japan have been running operational EEW systems for over a decade. New Zealand needs to step up and advance towards a national warning system.
